ooooh, shopping....

we love to browse.... we are extreme window-shoppers and people-watchers.  but today, we got to shop!  it was so.much.fun..... it started last night {for me} as i purchased a few lovely things on my "wish list" from different online artists and shops.  then today we headed into town.  when we got back, i had mail!!!  so, without further ado, here is my super happy "i got to shop and got great packages" post of the weekend!

{i just really like this picture... but you can't see my flower too well.  scroll down *wink*}

ok this picture is not the greatest, but you can see my flower.... it's called a petal pusher and it's made by lindsey over at the pleated poppy! {blog} {shop}  she is soooo cute, and her kids are adorable.  i love everything in her shop - i'm extremely happy with this beautiful orchid colored petal pusher that came in the mail today and plan on wearing it... pretty much all.the.time.  i'll be blogging more about the pleated poppy in march during an inspiration series!

ok, so remember when i blogged last week about the seekatesew giveaway?  yeah.... I WON!!!! i was extremely excited to see this package in the mail today.  an adorable little owl, vintage zipper and button {oh the crafts i am dreaming of....}, 1/2 yard of gorgeous fabric and a precious little handmade notebook.  it's all still wrapped up so lovely, because i like to look at it in it's entirety.  i'm afraid to take it out of the packaging and spread it out everywhere. i just need to take a moment and admire the fun-ness....... ok, i'm done.

next up... the mall {aka my home away from home *wink*}.  we ran into bath & body works for some massage oil.  we don't do massage night very often.... not for lack of my asking, caleb's just stingy like that.  but we ran out of massage oil last time, so we got some more.  this one is made with lavender essential oils and will help induce sleep.  i likey.... i likey alot.  it smells really good!  on the way to the register, i spotted this little ducky which will look so cute in amelia's new bathroom {oh, look for that post later!!}.  we've been practicing "washing our hands" every day after lunch and snack time.  she likes to play in the water, and i like to encourage healthy habits early.  a fun little duck dispenser will be perfect for the toddler years!!

then came barne's and noble.... love book stores.  but i knew exactly what i was going for today.  i got the book understanding exposure at the recommendation of several photography tutorials and blogs.  and then i saw a guide for the canon rebel t2i d-SLR camera {post coming sooooon!} that shows alot of fun and exciting features that i can use.  i'm excited to get this camera as soon as next week and jump in.  i've been reading lots of tutorials, forums, and books as well as talking to photographer friends to get the lowdown on where to start with photography.  i'll finally be able to add posts to the "photography" label tab at the top of the blog!

since i'll be buying my camera at best buy, i wanted to make sure i was prepared when i got it.  so last night i ordered an unbelievably beautiful camera bag....

this lovely is made by jo totes - camera bags for women!  how cute is it?!?! i can't wait to get it and put my camera and lenses inside... then walk around everywhere and take pictures.  and pictures of myself, with my cute bag, and my cute petal pusher.... love.

  5. I would totally used that camera bag for both a purse and camera bag. Very cute!!! You can inconspicuously tote it anywhere and no one would know you're smuggling a camera in there. :D
