{t-shirt ringlet scarf - i used to be a pro at self-portraits in the "myspace" days}
sew, back to sewing {haha, get it??}.... i had seen some really fabulous chomping necklaces on etsy one day and thought they were such a pretty idea, but never figured how to make one. then, a few days ago, as i was enjoying my daily blog fix, i happened on a tutorial to make one from see kate sew!! i just knew i could create this on my own, so i found a few fat quarters i had hiding in the back of our fabric stash and pulled out caleb's sewing machine. i vaguely recollected how to load the bobbin {whew.... it worked} and i started her up. about thirty minutes later i was well on my way to making these necklaces! i went to the craft store and got some unfinished wooden beads and finished my project. you can check them out on our etsy shop later tonight if you want to purchase one, or five.... wait, maybe just four because that's all i made?! take a look....
{more styles to come}
sew {hahaha.... i should stop}, since i can sew a pretty awesome straight line..... i've decided to really invest myself in this new hobby and i ordered a book that comes highly recommended from several other seamstress bloggers like myself.... is it too early to consider myself among the elite? *wink* i'll be dreaming of some awesome projects to sew up on the weekends and have full plans on posting tutorials for a few - pictures for all! any ideas or recommendations for some funky, girly projects i should whip up??
