so, remember when i told you that i was lucky enough to get to review something from one of the more than 500 CSN Stores? well, i chose a new diaper bag from Carter. nannying 3 girls in addition to little amelia means i have so much stuff to carry around now! i loved our old diaper bag, our Huskers bag that had amelia's name embroidered on the side.... but it seriously was not big enough for 12 hours worth of cloth diapers, food, bottles, toys, etc.... something had to be done.
here is my new awesome bag!
i have this stuffed plum full!! usually in the morning i will add a few more things, like the shaker full of formula that i premade, my laptop and cell phone, maybe a sweater for me..... this bag goes to capacity everyday! i usually don't get that overflap closed, and i wish it was a bit longer. it attaches to the side pocket by magnet, and that is pretty much the only thing that i would want changed.... longer flap attaching with velcro.
on a day to day basis.... i keep it open like this:
i really love the dot design. at first, i thought the interior fabric was a tad bit bright... it still is, but with all of amelia's belongings filling it up, i am not so overwhelmed! i love the inside... it is completely lined with plastic so it's so easy to clean, plus there are tons of pockets: 2 interior bottle pockets on the sides, one large pocket with velcro closure on one side (takes up the entire side... great for toys and small pouches of food), a small zippered pocket (i keep medications and tampons here!) on the opposite side along with 2 mesh elastic pockets where i keep lotion, nail clippers and hand sanitizer. the outside has two outer pockets that take up the entire length of the bag, this is where i stash my day planner and wallet. there are also two exterior side pockets... one holds my chapstick, pens, gum, etc. and the other holds my camera! seriously, i am way organized.
so here we have the inside before i start rummaging through. i keep a small wetbag at the very bottom, which you can't see. so there is one bottle in a pocket, the lotion in the elasticized mesh pockets, the purple skulls thing is one of my awesome large wetbags caleb sewed up for me, with the red trimmed wipes case right in front. and for this particular day at work, we were using gro-via diapers, so i have 2 covers already prepped and several extra inserts ready to be used! most of the time i keep a pocket dipe in the bottom just as a back up.... so there is PLENTY of room in this diaper bag.
i would totally recommend this Carter's Diaper Bag, and i would suggest you order it from CSN stores! they have great prices, and they also emailed me stating they automatically upgraded my shipping choice so that i would get it faster! i got this bag in the mail about a week earlier than expected. i can't wait to do more business with this great company!
