i finally fell asleep, but come about 2:00am, i was up again - seriously?! woken by blogging thoughts?! yes, it happened. and then again at 3:00am, followed by 4:30 and then i was pressing snooze at 5:00. to say the least, i am drained today!
i've decided i need to get more organized in my blogging. i've gotten pretty good at maintaining at least six posts a week {often more} and have been able to network quite a bit in the mornings and early afternoons {nap times for amelia!}. but i have so many post ideas spinning up top that i need to get them out of my head and into a blog! i saw this post over at one of my favorite blogs to read and decided to follow suit - i'm going to get together a fancified notebook {dare we say "blogging diary?"} to sketch out my ideas for postings, giveaways, networking, and everything in between. i also really want to work some more with our etsy as far as design goes, and add a few fun products to the mix, so i could make a separate section just for that. should i add my craft ideas in there? i think they should be separate also, because not all of them will be etsy-ed.
in addition, i'm giving myself some much needed "blogging time-out" - as in, once 7:00 rolls around, the computer goes to bed and the rest of the night is devoted to
on a different note {yet, still pertaining to blogging}, has anyone ever worked with wordpress? i am so interested in hosting my own domain name {think - marineparentsblog.com}, but i would love to have a cleaner, crisper look for what i pay for. wordpress can supply that, but i am so familiar with blogger, and when i try to dabble in wordpress i get very confused and then sidetracked and then oh, i've been trying to make a header that will fit for 3 hours..... oops. so for today, i've given up working with wordpress, but there is always tomorrow to get started again. i'd love to have some advice on how you went about getting your own {dot com} address and who you went through for hosting and registration, ballpark pricing, transferring data, etc.
but please.... layman's terms.

My brother tried to set me up with word press and I HATED it, but I'm not html or coding savvy. There is a feature with blogger where you can use your own domain name. That's what I'm planning on doing in the near future.
ReplyDeleteWow lots on your plate :/ I'm doing half-well just on blogger ...
