south africa needs toothbrushes!

i was talking to my sister recently {you know, the one in south africa? still.so.awesome.} and she was expressing to me about a situation at the orphanage..... a toothbrush situation.  their current brushes are rock hard!!! seriously, we are so unbelievably fortunate to have the options of soft, medium, or hard bristled toothbrushes - these kids have brushed and brushed and brushed until their brushes can't brush anymore!

a couple of months ago, i reached out to you, my awesome readers, for a cell phone so that she could communicate better from her far away mission lands!  i can't say {thank you} enough for coming through!  i love this fabulous community and all of the friends that i've made through blogging!

so today i have a new request - can you help the Alon International Team in Tzaneen provide new toothbrushes for these beautiful children?  can we provide support through this one small avenue of oral hygiene for kids who have no one else to turn to?  let's show them some holiday spirit, some american love, some community and fellowship.  what better way to express love and caring but through a special package of brightly colored new toothbrushes - each day as they pick up their new possession, they have the chance to understand true love, true commitment, true caring from a family a world away!

if you are interested, i'm raising funds for toothbrushes for all of these lovely babes.... we need a little over 20 toothbrushes, which will last for about 3 months.  i would love to send even MORE so that they don't run into the hard toothbrush situation again!

why am i raising funds rather than collecting actual brushes?  shipping costs..... on your part! i don't want you to have to bother with boxing up a single {or multiple!} toothbrush and front the cost of mailing it.... a simple donation of a few dollars will buy a child a toothbrush, and anything further would be greatly appreciated as it would stretch farther to help even more kids!!  just click click click the button below to donate.

i appreciate each and every one of you.  thank you for your consideration of this fundraiser and for your contribution - monetary or supportive!

  1. I am trying to use the donate link, but it's sending me to an outdated version of PayPal. Is it my computer or the link?
