today, we are battling a serious case of the whineys. amelia is all hot and bothered about something.... or everything. she does not want to nap, she does not want to eat, she does not want to finish her bottle. nor does she enjoy her usual array of daily activites - sitting, crawling, playing with a smorgasbord of toys and random household objects.
though she will not nap, i am being adament about implementing some "quiet time" for her today. i know she is far too young to comprehend this concept, but the earlier i begin the ritual with her, the better it will be for us further down the road. she has been in her pack-n-play for about 20 minutes now. it began with a tantrum as soon as i laid her in there (albeit rubbing her eyes frantically, she refuses to rest), followed by cooing and playing and is now back to whining and banging the mesh sides of her quiet time prison.
life is so hard at 8 months and counting....
