i recently started a new nanny position for a marine family about 20 minutes from our apartment. they have three daughters, a four year old, five year old and a fourteen year old. the teenager basically entertains herself all day and hangs out with friends in their pool or on the trampoline. the other girls are like night and day! the five year old is a little diva and claims to be a true princess named Rapunzel. the four year old is a cutesy little tomboy with some minor speech issues so you have to listen very carefully!
the girls are very well-behaved and so sweet to baby amelia! it's an excellent job with great pay, considering how little everyone here in jacksonville pays! they have three little ankle-biting dogs, but they stay in their crate all day (per my boss!) since they are so bad.... as in, eating all the toilet paper in the house or drinking chocolate milk from a cup sitting on the table. naughty, naughty puppies.
so this week, i am staying with the girls 24 hours a day! their dad is currently deployed to afghanistan and their mom had to leave on a quick, one week trip to maryland. it's easy to be here with amelia, she does so well here and loves the girls. she is so entertained with them. but let me tell you, 24 hours a day is soooo different than just watching them during normal work hours! it is non-stop "april, guess what?" or "april, so-and-so bit me!" or "april, what are you doing?" by the end of the night i am scraping the bottom of my patience barrel, hoping for just a tiny little bit more to extend to these sweet girls. i know they aren't purposely being overbearing, they are just at that age..... you know exactly what i'm talking about!
so please bear with me as i have not posted my next giveaway yet. it's coming!! i have two products on hand that i am currently reviewing and will be extending them to you as soon as i get back into my non-nanny mindset next week :)
