half a heart is all i have. caleb came home for the weekend and it seems like he just got here, and he left again. he's been attending career course in quantico, virginia for the last six weeks and has two and a half weeks left.
we've been fortunate enough that he was able to come home several times to visit, but after the five hour drive one way and all the time our bodies take up sleeping (how i wish i could fight this more), it seems like he turns right around and is gone in the blink of an eye.
the house is too quiet, too lonely, too empty without him. as i watch his truck turn the corner and leave my line of sight, i slowly close the door and realize how lonely i am without him. what do i do with myself while he is gone? who do i talk to, kiss goodnight, share my thoughts with?
the life of a military wife is not glamorous or easy. freedom is definitely not free in my book. but i'm proud to stand next to my husband and support him in everything that he does. no matter how lonely i may feel, i know he will always come back and make my heart whole again.

Now following you back!
