the sun'll come out.... tomorrow!

good monday morning, my loves!  ah, can i just tell you how stressful my next two weeks are going to be?  please? ok.....

i have two weeks left of work, well 9 days after today.  february 11th is my last day and i just wish i had more time between my last day of work and traveling with amelia to oregon to visit memaw and grandpa jim!  i'm thrilled to take amelia on her first plane ride, but everything is

justsocrammedtogetheritshardtomakesenseofitall.

um, did ya catch that?  i actually had to manuall spellcheck that mumbojumbo three times to make it right {dyslexic, much?}.

so before we travel, but while i'm still working, i also need to figure out what needs to stay at our apartment for our impending cross-country move to S-s-s-s-s-san Diego!!! i can't tell you how excited i am about moving and i keep asking caleb if random things will be better there because it will be in california.  things are great here, but do you think my sloppy joes will taste even BETTER since i'll be slopping them in cali? i think so *wink*

{credit due}

anywho.... the movers will be coming to assess our apartment february 23rd, while amel and i are traveling back from oregon.... so i need to set aside anything that i don't already have with me for traveling that does not need to be packed before i leave for oregon {confused yet? i am....}.  then i need to rushrushrush to do diaper laundry, clothing laundry, sheets/towels/other items that need to be packed so that they can all be packed and moved within the next two days.  we jump ship on the 25th and the rest is history!

except it's not really.  we will spend two days traveling to nebraska, where we will spend a week visiting caleb's family and our friends and then two days to VEGAS! {i'm brushing up on my vegas history with chevy chase repeats....}.  spend a bit of time there and then on to san diego, where we set up shop and get our awesome california life on!

did i mention that i'm also revamping our etsy shop and actually moving it to a new domain {hello big cartel!  and pumping the shop full of new and fun items that will hopefully be done/posted/up for sale this coming weekend?! i've been working hard... but have a ton more work to do.  i'm not closing the shop for our move -- we will be keeping our wares with us on the road so i can ship from wherever we are!  i'd love you for-stinkin-ever if you helped me spread the word once the shop opens.  tweets, facebook links, passing out some business cards, buying custom gifts for your friends/babes/wives/girlfriends/blogfriends.... seriously, buy.

so this was a seriously stressful post to write -- i have a ton on my plate, but i have such a fabulous sense of PEACE over it all.  i've been praying every night over my blog and shop {that's not weird, right??} that things will run smooth and just fall into place... i've hit a bunch of snags, but i've been able to peacefully take them in stride.  i know God is seriously taking care of me -- even with something little like my blog and online handmade sewn lovelies.

  1. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate. But I am sure God will take care of everything and once it's done, you'll be like "did I really stress that much?!" At least, that's how I feel about our house disaster we had in the end of Dec/early Jan.

    P.S.
    I think your sloppy joes will taste much better in Cali. I'm a little jealous of everyone I know moving/trying to move there!
