how to grab a permalink from twitter....

hi friends! i wanted to give a very brief tutorial for some of you who are new to my giveaways.  like most giveaway bloggers, i require that you leave me proof that you tweeted a particular giveaway by leaving me what is commonly referred to as the "permalink" to a particular tweet.  i've noticed that some of my newest readers haven't been leaving me this and i wanted to show you how! it's so easy - three clicks easy!  so let's get started....

first, be sure you are logged into your twitter account!  on your main screen after sign in, you will type in your "tweet" as i've done here during a twitter conversation with a friend:

alright, so once you've typed whatever you want to say (such as the giveaway tweet i provide you with), you click the "Tweet" button and you've tweeted!  ok, so next we are going to head to your profile page by clicking on the link titled "Profile" like this:

perfect! you are now at your profile page.  from here, you can see what you just tweeted at the top in big, bold letters.  right below is what's called a "timestamp" that says how long ago you tweeted your most recent tweet (confused by all the tweet-lingo yet?).  you want to left-click on this timestamp, like this:

once you click that timestamp, you will be taken to a new page that shows only that particular tweet.  this is where you get your permalink! look up at the top of your internet browser, where you type in web addresses and copy the link that is there, like this:

once you copy that link, you are DONE! congratulations, you have just gotten your permalink for a tweet! simply paste this into the comment box of any giveaway you are entering to prove that, yes - you DID tweet about the giveaway (or anything else, for that matter).  if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to comment or tweet me @taprilcrosier.  and a big thank you to my dear friend, @mrsob1 for letting me put her twitter name all over my blog!!
