but seriously, my baby is getting BIG and doing BIG GIRL things. look at her right here, hanging all out of her swing. rest assured, she gets strapped in every time now! she thought this was absolutely hilarious!!
she's also getting so close to sitting up!! she is getting stronger every day and sometimes she pulls herself up out of my lap like she wants to sit! she definetly still needs a helping hand, but, oh my gravy, she is miss independant!! look at her here, when we went shopping at target today. she was sitting up so good, with the help of the little buggy buckle, of course. amelia decided she wanted to brush her teeth with the colgate wisps that i snagged for 50cents each :) you can see how i worked this deal at the bottom of this post! she definetly likes being able to see more than she could in her bucket infant seat, and i really like having the extra space in the cart!
and finally, baby amelia is feeding herself..... she took to solid food off of a spoon like a champ almost a full month ago. she loves solid foods (which i make at home) and loves all of her yummy Happy Baby organic snacks!! today i gave her a mum mum, which she found to be super delicious. you can share in the deliciousness in the photo below!!! she grabbed it and put it directly in her mouth, but that's pretty much anything she can get her hands on. but, oh my, when she realized it was edible, it was game on!! after a couple minutes of yummy nomming, the last part of the mum mum fell on the floor and my baby was so... so... so... sad.
it seems like yesterday that we were at the hospital (how many times do i say that a week?) and amelia was being born! now she is escaping what used to be my "shower time babysitter," shopping like a big girl and feeding herself! what in the world will she do next?

ok, is it ridiculous that i almost cried when i saw that picture of amelia sitting up in the buggy. what is going on? how in the world is she already doing that!? she is growing up way to fast. i just adore her!
ReplyDeleteawwwww not ridiculous AT ALL! yeah she is growing up so stinkin' fast.... i had her strapped in real good so she wouldn't fall over, but even still.... too much for me to handle!
